The Alderman House Fort Myers Wedding Venue Spotlight by Chasing Creative

Downtown Fort Myers

The Alderman House boasts a range of features that make it an ideal choice for couples seeking a memorable, affordable, and luxurious mansion wedding venue. This Fort Myers wedding venue, with proximity to downtown, will certainly catch your eye with Spanish arches and Mediterranean style. I’ve photographed numerous weddings at The Alderman House and can attest to its charm and versatility. It’s truly a gem for both brides and wedding photographers!

Alderman House Wedding Venue Amenities

A highlight of The Alderman House is its dedicated vendor team. With their amazing catering staff, your guests (and photographer) will enjoy wonderful dining, regardless if you prefer buffet style or a plated dinner. This venue also has a sister company, I Dew Events. This allows you to fully customize your wedding experience. From florals, to table and chair choices, table decor, and plate settings, the choices are endless! They also handle all of the setup and cleanup so you can enjoy every moment.

The Alderman house also provides a day of coordinator to make sure no detail goes unseen. When you look back on your photos, it is like you are right back in the moment. Taking pressure off your photographer of making sure everything is running on time and accordingly is an added bonus. This allows them to focus on you! With this comprehensive wedding team in place, you can streamline your wedding planning process, paying one bill for multiple services.

Get Ready for Your Wedding Ceremony at The Alderman House

The venue provides on-site areas for the bride and groom to get ready, including a private bridal suite. The beautiful, spacious room is located in the main building, and is ideal for getting ready photos. Matching PJs are a must! The room aesthetic and abundant natural light makes it a stunning room and an ideal spot for photographers.

In the images below you’ll see where the groom’s getting ready quarters are located. A stand alone on-site building ensures the bride and groom won’t see each other before the ceremony (assuming a “first look” isn’t on the agenda!).

Getting ready on-site also reduces stress, allowing more time for photo opportunities since your photographer isn’t traveling between locations. This all allows for a relaxing preparation process and ensures that every detail is attended to before the ceremony. To further enhance the guest experience, the venue offers complimentary valet services, adding a touch of luxury and convenience for everyone attending your celebration.

Compared to other mansions in southwest Florida, The Alderman House offers an affordable yet luxurious option for couples looking to celebrate their love in a stunning setting. The Alderman House provides multiple ceremony spaces, allowing you to choose the perfect backdrop for your vows. Whether you choose to hold your wedding ceremony out front, or in the back (pictured in this gallery), you won’t be disappointed. Additionally, the venue features beautiful spots for capturing memorable photos at every turn.

Ensure Peace of Mind, The Alderman House is Weather Prepared

This Fort Myers wedding venue is also weather-prepared, making sure nothing stops your dream day from happening. Weather in Florida can be extremely unpredictable, but the staff at the Alderman House has the tools and equipment necessary to make sure your day is nothing short of magical. Available to you are gorgeous tents that allow for the hanging of beautiful lights, chandeliers, and other decor. Even with the chance of rain, your reception can stay true to your vision and the vibe of your wedding. If necessary, they also have the ability to drain water out of the courtyard, ensuring that no one, especially the bride, has to walk through standing water following a heavy rain shower! This wedding venue is truly prepared for whatever weather may occur.

Nearby Accommodations in Downtown Fort Myers

For out-of-town guests, the venue’s location near Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) ensures a hassle-free and convenient travel experience for those flying in for your special day. The Alderman House also offers easy access to the great hotels and restaurants in downtown Fort Myers, creating a convenient and enjoyable experience for your guests. I recommend staying at the Luminary Hotel. This river-front hotel boasts a contemporary and stylish design, creating a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere for guests. The hotel features multiple dining options, including signature restaurants and rooftop bars. Another great (and more budget-friendly option) in downtown Fort Myers, located just a few steps from the luminary, is The Banyan Hotel by Hilton.

During your stay in downtown Fort Myers, enjoy the diverse culinary at the many restaurants like Firestone Grill Room, The Standard (also a great option for breakfast!) and Ford’s Garage. Wine-lovers will enjoy a wonderful river-front dining experience at Oxbow. I highly recommend making plans, including a reservation, in advance for any of these options.

The Alderman House’s close proximity to downtown Fort Myers also allows your wedding guests the ability to venture to nearby bars following your reception. Continue the celebration at The Social House or Firestone’s rooftop Skybar & Martini Bar, both of which turn into a nightclub after 9pm. For a more lowkey nightcap, visit The 86 Room.
