A Christmas wedding was just what this bride wanted. And while cool temperatures we did not have, the magic of Christmas was certainly in the air. This brand new wedding venue in Fort Myers, Florida known as Alluring Acres was the perfect setting for this Fort Myers, FL rustic Christmas wedding. Logan of Paradise Planning (one of my favorite wedding planners to work with!) ensured that the venue was decorated to perfection and that everything went off without a hitch. No ornament, poinsettia or napkin was out of place.
The Wedding Details
The Wedding Venue: Alluring Acres
With on-site suites for the bride and groom to get ready in, there was ample time for me to photograph the beautiful venue and decorative details before documenting the getting ready process. On our original consult call, the bride informed me of the importance of these photos so we made sure to provide enough time in the schedule so I could walk the property and photograph these details.
The Bridal Party
I love the incorporation of matching PJs for the bridal party. It’s the perfect way to take your “getting ready” pictures up a notch. Having an extra bottle of champagne on hand is also a good idea. I love the genuine laughs and smiles that occur while spraying it.
Custom koozies were a fun detail for this festive Christmas wedding.
The Wedding Ceremony
This was a very traditional wedding, following a standard order of events. After the ceremony, we gathered the wedding party and important family members for formal portraits in front of the arbor. Once all the desired combinations were photographed, we moved on to bride and groom portraits around the property, ending around 15 minutes before introductions.
The Wedding Portraits
Following introductions, the bride and groom had their first dance on the Alluring Acres dance floor. Having a DJ or a band is priceless. In addition to providing entertainment, they ensure that things stay on track during the reception by announcing and facilitating events like the bouquet and garter toss. I’ve worked with Juan Gomez of King Entertainment during previous weddings at other venues, and each time he has done a fantastic job.
The Reception
This couple opted for 6 hours of wedding day coverage for their Fort Myers Christmas wedding so I was only present for the first part of the reception, however, guests were ready to hit the dance floor and I was able to capture plenty of action shots before heading home to work on their sneak peeks!
